The Experiment

By the end of Part II, the framework was still standing, but much of its symmetry was not.

The three Evolutions no longer qualified as one generalized mechanism. Individual learning could remain outside the evolutionary triad. Responsibility had to be typed and tied to a focal object. Extensions had become actor-relative. A platform could require several legitimate architectural cuts. Artificial actorhood remained open rather than prohibited by origin. Correctability required a practical route from evidence to challenge, intervention, remedy, and verification, not merely a responsible name available after failure.

These changes made the framework harder to dismiss and harder to use. The second problem now mattered more.

Conceptual survival is cheap if one investigator performs all the classifications, supplies all the clarifications, and knows in advance which distinction the framework is trying to preserve. A research architecture begins to acquire scientific standing only when its claims can leave the page: when established disciplines are allowed to say that they already know the substance, when categories become explicit enough for independent use, when uncertainty is an admissible result, and when a lower-cost method is allowed to perform just as well.

Part III therefore changes the burden of evidence. First, the framework must face the knowledge communities whose work it recombines and lose any claim that specialists need Triadic vocabulary to understand their own fields. Then its surviving distinctions must be operationalized without turning difficult constructs into decorative scores. Finally, the instrument must be asked the practical question that diagrams routinely postpone: does using it alter what a responsible analyst notices, asks, attributes, investigates, stops, repairs, or decides?

The comparison must be adversarial. A careful Triadic analyst cannot be matched against a careless conventional one. A full ontology cannot claim victory because it notices more nouns than a shorter checklist. Hypothetical analysts cannot be recruited in prose and then reported as data. Where no experiment has been conducted, the report must say so.

The Department interpreted the phrase testability debt as a request for a repayment schedule. I did not correct it immediately. The framework had accumulated obligations, and Part III was where payment was due.

The question was no longer whether Triadic Evolution could survive me. It was whether any part of it could survive being used by someone who had no reason to protect it.
